Pure Raw Honey Full of Natural Goodness
Our raw, pure honey is collected from our bee hives and handled to preserve all the goodness and health benefits that Australian honey has to offer. Honey is packed full of valuable nutrients, with antioxidant properties and anti-inflammatory properties, amino acids, essential vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.
The best honey is both nutritious and delicious, and when it is extracted and filtered in an effective manner, straight from the hive, it can promote good digestion, provide an antibacterial defence for the body, support nutrition and soothe a sore throat.
The anti-inflammatory effects and health benefits naturally found in honey are destroyed if the honey is heat treated to extend the shelf life or make the honey appear transparent. This is typical practice for many supermarket brands, which will have added sugar and a lower quality taste. The only way to ensure that the honey you've spread on your toast will provide the most genuine flavours and best health benefits is to invest in raw honey.
The Raw Difference
Our honey is so pure that it contains the propolis, wax and pollen produced by the bees during their natural honey-making process. Bees are incredibly smart little creatures, making beeswax, honey and even their own hives through careful pollination, transportation, and teamwork.
As a result of our respect for the bees and our understanding of how to effectively extract their honey, every drop is packed with great taste and incredible health benefits. Naturally, honey is safe for those with a gluten or dairy allergy, and it is both GMO and pesticide-free.
For honey to maintain its antibacterial and nutritious qualities, the heat must be managed carefully. Raw honey that is heated above 40 degrees becomes pasteurised, losing its natural flavour and positive health properties. This is where many commercial companies will add sugar, trying to get back to the sweet natural flavour, but once pasteurisation occurs, honey will not be the same.
Experience the Health Benefits of Eating Raw Honey
By extracting our raw honey and natural beeswax carefully, we are maintaining the quality that the bees work so hard to produce. We capitalise on the honey in some of the best parts of Australia with the happiest bees and the best environment for the hive. We use cold extraction to keep our raw honey as pure as nature intended, with the proteins, flavonoids, and amino fatty acids intact.
Some of the benefits of unprocessed honey include:
- High concentration of antioxidants
- Suppress a cough and soothe a sore throat
- Anti-inflammatory
- Soothes the skin and heals wounds
- Eases digestive issues
- Boosts memory
- Improves gut health
The properties of honey are known for boosting the immune system, aiding metabolism and supporting the digestive tract. Used for thousands of years for both topical and internal medicine, raw honey is a low sugar superfood that will improve your health with just one tablespoon a day.

Is store-bought honey raw honey?
No, generally the honey available in supermarkets will be processed. This is to make the honey last longer on the shelf before is crystalizes. Heating, blending and pasteurising will remove beneficial nutrients and reduce the level of antioxidants in the honey. Raw honey, on the other hand, is allowed to settle before its bottled so excess wax can be removed, retaining most of the nutrients and antioxidants for your consumption.
-
Is it safe to eat raw honey in Australia?
Yes, raw honey is safe to consume in Australia, however, both raw and regular honey contains trace amounts of Clostridium botulinum, which can cause a rare form of food poisoning, although there has never been a case linked to honey in Australia. Babies under 12 months old should avoid honey, as the digestive tract has not developed far enough to fight off bacteria. Additionally, those with a severe pollen allergy should speak with their allergist before consuming raw honey.

What is the difference between raw honey and regular honey?
When it comes down to it, the main difference between honey types is the way they are processed. Raw honey is strained or separated from wax and other debris before its bottled, retaining most of the natural goodness. Regular honey is subjected to an array of processing systems, including filtering, heating, blending before it even reaches the bottle, which removes much of the natural flavour and health benefits.

What process do you use to harvest your honey?
We got into the honey business due to our love and respect for bees.
Here are the steps we take to ensure that our harvesting won't harm a single bee:- Gently shake each frame to encourage each bee to retreat into their hive before hand-brushing to ensure nobody is left attached to the frame
- We secure the frames in boxes and transport them back to our extraction location, Australia
- We place each frame on the uncapping line, remove the wax caps of honey cells without adding heat, and then place them into the extractor
- The extractor will spin the frame at very high speeds to release the honey from the cells without the need for heat. This honey is then pumped into storage drums and left to settle
- Once the honey is settled, wax and other debris float to the top and are removed, then it is ready to be packaged, sold, and shipped to your door
